Privacy Policy

We keep this short, because we collect very little.

What we collect

If you join our newsletter, we keep your email address and the date you subscribed. That is all. You give it to us voluntarily, and we use it only to send you the free book and the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time. Our newsletter is sent through MailerLite, operated by UAB MailerLite, Paupio g. 46, Vilnius, Lithuania, which processes the address on our behalf.

If you send us an author enquiry, we keep what you put in the form, that is your name, your email address, the title of the book, whether it is published, an optional link and your message. We use it to answer you and to prepare an offer. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

When you visit, our host records the request in its server log. That is the address of the page, the time, your IP address, the response code and the page you came from. We do not run any analytics script in your browser, we set no cookies for measurement, and nothing is stored on your device. The logs are kept for a short period and are used to keep the site running and secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Hosting

This site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. Hosting a site outside the European Union means your data reaches a third country, and we rely on the standard contractual clauses agreed with our host for that transfer.

Fonts

The typefaces are served from our own site. They are not loaded from Google Fonts or any other outside service, so no request goes anywhere else when you open a page.

What we do with it

We send you the free book you asked for, and one email a week. We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it with advertisers. Ever.

How long we keep things

Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe. Enquiries stay for as long as we are in contact and then for the period German commercial and tax law requires. Server logs are kept only briefly by our host.

Your rights

Under GDPR you may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or take it elsewhere. You can also withdraw consent at any time, and you can complain to a supervisory authority. Write to and we will act on it.

You can unsubscribe from any email with one click. The link is at the bottom of every one.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site go to Amazon and are affiliate links. When you follow one, Amazon may set cookies according to its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
